OAKES
Patricia Oakes-Allen [silenthill@cove.net]
I am seeking information on the Elmer E OAKS family.
They are on the
1930 census in Ponca City. Wife is Lula M (HUFFMAN) OAKS (41), widow;
Leeta (12); Martin R (10); Earnie Lewis (7). I have Earnie's death
cert (d.
24 May 1998 in Tulsa), which says he was born in Ponca City on 27
June
1922. I am trying to find a death date for Elmer and Lula OAKS and
any other
info on this family in the Kay County area. In 1920, (1920 census),
Elmer and family was living in Jasper County, Missouri. I am also
looking for info on his brother, Perry OAKS, who was living in Ponca
City on the 1920 census with wife Gertrude (2d wife) and daughter,
Viola. By 1930, Perry was in Okmulgee County, OK. Possibly, daughter,
Viola May was married in Kay County.
