| Mohr - Leasman Penny Musser [plmusser@williams-net.com] May 2007 I am looking for family information in the Newkirk area around 1904-1910. The family name is Elmer O and Jenny C Mohr, they had two young girls at the time of there arriving to Oklahoma. They had two sons born in Newkirk, Harold was born June 12, 1905 and Kenneth was born July 07, 1907. Elmer lived in El Paso, IL. before moving to Newkirk. He had a faming background and could do anything ""handy-man". He may have been in law enforcement. Also was there any organization " Anti-Horse thief Association" in the Newkirk Area? William Fredrick Mohr, Elmer's father, owned land in Kay County. This information was obtained from his WILL upon his death in 1916. Another family name could be Albert and Nettie Leasman, may have something to do with the property. Just received your letter of Mar.
16 last night at our monthly meeting. Yes the Leasman is family, and yes the property was in Kay County, the information was on the will of W F Mohr. Please let me know any cost and where to send a check. Thank you I have found the land area you
sent with your letter. It is N.W. of Newkirk, Kay Co. bordering on the
Kansas line. |

| MARY J (CLINE) MUSGROVE Robert Cline [robertecline1@yahoo.com] Mar 2004 Hi, I am doing family research on the Cline side of my family. I am looking for records for Mary J (Cline) Musgrave; she was born 23 Jan 1849 in Ohio and died 12 Jun 1915. She was listed on her father's obituary in 1911 as living in Nardin, OK and I found her listed on the 1900/1910 census' as living in Rock Falls, Kay, OK. I appreciate you assistance and look forward to hearing from you. Bob I checked the 1920 census, Sanford age 47 and his mother Mary age 68 are still in Kay County ed 142, sheet 7, line 46. I checked the "Kay County Cemetery Inscriptions" which were published in 1976 and could not find them listed in any of the cemeteries in the vicinity of Rock Falls or Nardin, including the cemeteries of nearby Grant County. This does not mean that they are not buried here, just that they have no grave stones. |
