Apperson
[MaryMart9@aol.com] September 2008 Does anyone have any information about C. B. Apperson here was in the area in the 1900 until maybe 1912.. or any other Apperson's... I know they had papers on one of the land allotments. I believe it was John..Mary Apperson The only Appeson I could find in this area of
Kay Co. was Rachel F. Apperson Dec 7 1836 Sep 17 1905 buried in the
Nardin, OK. Mount Olive Cemetery Kay Co. husband was J.A. The ones in Sapulpa are my grandparents... I understand that his father
and a brother or two brothers were up there in the 1900's. it shows
sever arrests of his father cb in the Newkirk area. I think he may have
been a professional gambler but have not been able to find out what
the arrests were for yet but will make a trip up there someday and check
it out.. There is a land Grant for John Apperson in the Newkirk area
and he was employed by the Newkirk Sheriff office at one time... Have
a letter on the stationery. Thanks |

Connie, I thought I was responding to the Surname researcher for Armstrong. I clicked on the researchers name & it brought up my email so that I could respond to them on my Armstrong family to see if they were related to my family. I can't even remember now what website it was! Sorry for the confusion. Sorry, Connie, |

AUPPERLE Chris Aupperle [aupps@rockford.com] April 2002 I am looking for the ancestors of John Frederick Aupperle
who is buried in Newkirk - born July 20, 1835 in Wurttemburg? Germany,
died March 29, 1915. Do you have any records? He was my husband's
great-grandfather. Thank you! |
AIKEN/PETTEY Edith McCarthy - Meeker, Colorado I am searching for my husband's g-grandfather Joseph S AIKEN, married to Helen Maye PETTEY. They may have gone to Oklahoma from Kentucky. I have information that he was in Citra, Oklahoma in 1901-1903 - possibly longer - was probably a rancher/farmer. (I cannot find Citra on my map, but the next place listed on the document I have lists Newkirk, OK - so I am assuming both are close together) I do not know where he/they died. Will really appreciate any information you may have - or suggestions where I might look. Thanks for your consideration. |
| THE ATTERSON/AUTERSON CONNECTION [This site was unavailable Feb 2004] My name is Mark Atterson. My Great Grandfather's older brother William J. Auterson made his way out west from Kentucky in the early 1870's. Many of William's descendants still live in and around Ponca City and Kay County. I have a few 'orphan' photographs, several of Native Americans, that somehow belong to our family but unfortunately have been forgotten in time. I would appreciate you linking to my site or possibly giving me information on a local site that could in hopes these folks may be identified. The site is located at the Atterson/Auterson Connection |
