The following list is of Post Office, Schools and place names located in Renfrow Township, Kay County, Oklahoma. Although every effort has been made to correctly identify and describe all listings on the following maps, errors can occur; sources can have conflicting information. Sources include Chronicles of Oklahoma [OHS], Rooted in the Past Growing for the Future [NCOH], Oklahoma Department of Transportation Maps, court documents of incorporation, Oklahoma Atlas’ and Gazetteers and Kay County Newspapers.

Located near the Grant County line in southwest Kay county in Renfrow Township, consisted of a general store operated by Swan and Will Olsen opened for business March 5, 1894. A Post Office was established June 7, 1894 with Swan Olson as Postmaster and discontinued June 13, 1901 with mail to Guiley. They sold the store to a Mr. Shirley and a new postmaster by the name of Geller was appointed and they changed the name of the town to Geily, which was a combination of their two names. When the railroad passed to the north, their business started to lose customers to Eddy, a newer town on the railroad line.

*Nardin
A Post office was established April 12, 1898 with David E Mahaffey as postmaster. Formerly Vilott the town consisted of a school, banks, churches, a blacksmith shop, bakery, grocery stores, a general store, drug store, café, rooming house, hardware & implement company, telephone system, harness & shoe shop, lumber yard, elevators, and a newspaper. According to the county records Nardin’s incorporation date was June 4, 1900. GNIS Site L-364820N LO-0972645W


Schools once located in the township were Cooper-43*, Lone Tree-40, Nardin-42, Oak Grove-63*, Prairie Home-41* and Valley Center-62.
