The following list is of Post Office, Schools and place names located in Beaver Township, Kay County, Oklahoma. Although every effort has been made to correctly identify and describe all listings on the following maps, errors can occur; sources can have conflicting information. Sources include Chronicles of Oklahoma [OHS], Rooted in the Past Growing for the Future [NCOH], Oklahoma Department of Transportation Maps, court documents of incorporation, Oklahoma Atlas’ and Gazetteers and Kay County Newspapers.

Hardy
A Post Office was established February 24, 1906 with Harvey D Towner as postmaster. According to the county records Hardy’s incorporation date was February 8, 1906, population 112. Established by industrialists from Arkansas City, Kansas. Named for General W E Hardy, Secretary to the Kaw Tribe. Businesses consisted of a bank, three general stores, 2 hotels, 2 pool halls, a barber shop, livery, lumber yard, hardware store, blacksmith shop confectionery store and a saloon. Hardy declined after withdrawal of railroad service.

Located North of Newkirk close to the Cooper Cemetery

Schools once located in the township were Bryan-100, Canadian-92, Consolidated-106, Cooper-93*, Hardy-96 and Long Mound-104.
