Rites
Wednesday For John B. Wynn, Pioneer of Grant
POND CREEK,
Nov. 2 – Last rites for John B. Wynn, 83, pioneer Grant county resident,
will be held at 1030 a.m. Wednesday at the Wilson chapel.
Rev. James P. Simmons, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Pond Creek cemetery by Wilson funeral home.
Mr. Wynn died Monday at an Enid hospital. He had been in failing heath
several months but his death followed a critical illness of only a few
days.
Mr. Wynn had made his home in Medford for several years. Before that he
lived in the Jefferson and Pond Creek communities.
He is survived by his wife of the home; three sons Claude Wynn and Bennie
Wynn, both of Wichita, a stepson, Theron Lora, of Medford; two daughters,
Mrs. Fred Bergman, Wellington and Mrs. Florence Springborn of Wichita;
a stepdaughter, Mrs. T.H. Slotherower; 28 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
