Leo Willison, 69, Dies at Hospital

Leo Willison, 69, a retired auto mechanic and well known bowler, died early this morning at the Ponca City Hospital, where he was admitted Saturday. He was born Feb. 9, 1897, in Ponca City and received his early education in the Oak View School. While still a boy, he went to Idaho, where he made his home with an uncle and aunt. He attended the Idaho Technical School in Pocatello.
On Feb. 13 1916, he married Neletah Myers. Following their marriage they came to Ponca City and Willison was engaged in carpenter work for a time. Later he entered the auto mechanics trade and in 1928 was employed by the Vance Motor Company. He also worked for the Edwards, Harville, Norris and Cobb motor companies, retiring about five years ago.
In 1942 Willison was manager of the City Recreation Parlor. He had bowled for more than 45 years.
Surviving are his wife of the home, 144 Ranch Drive; three sons, Jim, 124 Cooley, Leon K, 722 East Albany, and Bob, 1016 South Ninth; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Kromka of Wichita; a brother, Dale of Centerburg, Ohio, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the E. M. Trout and Sons Funeral Home.
The family will be at the Leon Willison home, 722 East Albany.
