Benjamin
Franklin Williams
Died – February 16, 1896 at the home of M Williams, in the twenty-first
year of his age. Benjamin Franklin Williams. Death was the result of an
injury received while playing ball together with pneumonia fever. The
deceased was born in Linn county, MO. Several years ago his parents moved
to Kansas where they resided until a short time ago when they came to
Kay county where his death occurred. Although a stranger until a short
time ago, he had made a host of friends, especially among the young people.
An aged father and mother mourn the loss of a loving son and future hope
and dependence and three sisters and three brothers are bereft of a loved
and favorite brother. But while they drain the bitter cup to its bitterest
dregs, still there is consolation in the hope that is offered. While our
heartstrings seem almost breaking we can smile through our tears and say
“Thy will, not mine, be done? With fitting services all that was
mortal of B F Williams was laid to rest in Riverview cemetery. The bereaved
parents and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in their
affliction.
