WIDICK
- Howard Widick was born in Mason county, Illinois, July 24,
1870, and died at his home about five miles southwest of Hunnewell, Kans.,
Sept. 23, 1907, at 1 a.m. He was the son of Mr. And Mrs. A. Widick of
Blackwell, and at the age of two years came to near Belle Plaine, Kans,
where they lived until the opening of the strip, when they located near
Blackwell, residing there until three years ago, when the subject of this
sketch moved with his family to near Hunnewell, where he resided until
his death. He was married to Mary Whitehead on Oct. 24, 1900, who is left
with three children, his father and mother, four sisters and a brother
to mourn his death. The funeral occurred on Monday at 2 o’clock
in the First U. B. church in Blackwell, conducted by the pastor, Rev.
E. M. Beauchamp, Interment at Odd Fellows cemetery. |
