John Watkins

Messrs. Dillion and Davis of Kingfisher arrived in the city Saturday to see John Watkins who died Sunday. A. Lair of Elk City, a brother-in-law of the deceased, was also present at the bedside.

John Watkins died Sunday at his temporary home north of the Christian church. The deceased was J.L. Lair’s son-in-law, and came here from Colorado some two weeks ago for his health. His death is due to consumption. Mr. Watkins leaves a wife and one little daughter. The remains were shipped to Elk City, Kan., today for burial.
