The first news of the death of Mrs. Waggoner, wife of Rev. Waggoner, was brought by Mr. Waggoner, when he came from Anthony, Kansas, to attend the Baptist association in this city. Mrs. Waggoner had been dead some two weeks, when her friends in Blackwell first heard of it. She had been in poor health for some time, and her husband took her to Anthony, in order that she might be near her daughter. Mr. And Mrs. Waggoner formerly lived in the Baptist college addition.
