Mrs. Tyner Dead

Mrs. T. H. Tyner died at the family residence in this city Friday morning at 1 o'clock, after a lingering illness. Her sister, Mrs. J. S. Garris, and other relatives were at her bedside during her more recent illness and at the time of her death and everything that love could supply was done to give her peace and comfort during her closing hours. Mrs. Tyner was a good christian woman, a member of the Presbyterian church and as wife, mother, neighbor and friend was valued for many sterling qualities. A large circle of friends and acquaintances, and her friends in the church, are with the relatives bereaved and join with them in mourning her death. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church Saturday morning at 9:30, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Thos. F. Barrier; the music being furnished by the church choir. The address was a beautiful one; the message being one of joy to the bereaved ones, who were assured that their loved one is now with her Saviour, in a place where suffering and sickness never enter. The Ladies Aid Society and other friends sent beautiful flowers. The funeral was held in the morning so that the body could be taken to Arkansas City for interment, but on account of the high water that part of the ceremony was deferred until Sunday morning, when accompanied by the undertaker, Rev. Barrier and a few of the relatives, Mr. Tyner took his loved one to the old home to lay her body by the side of other loved ones. Besides the sister, Mrs. Garris, and daughters, there were at the funeral her brothers, P.F. Endicott of Arkansas City, and S.T. Endicott and family of this city.

Together they came to Cowely county, Kansas, in 1877, where they lived until 1893, when they located near Newkirk in this county, coming here in 1898, where they have since made their home. The surviving sisters are Mrs. S. J. Garris of Okeene; Mrs. M. Cleveland, of Indiana; the brothers are Henry and C. C. Endicott of Los Angeles, California; J. C. Endicott of Kingman, Kans; P. F.
