Tanzey, Resident Here Since 1897, Dies
Jeff Tanzey, 72,
resident of the Blackwell community since 1897, died suddenly at his home
302 1/1 East Frisco, at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Tanzey had been suffering with heart trouble for a number of months,
and was thought to be improved but collapsed suddenly.
He had been a farmer and worked as a laborer since his retirement.
Mrs. C. J Willis, superintendent of the Associated Charities, said that
the aged man had two sons, Joe and Will; but that she was unable to locate
them.
They are oil field workers and are supposed to be employed
by the Cities Service Co.
Roberts mortuary is in charge of arrangements,

Tanzey Funeral Held Here Thursday
Funeral
services for Jeff Tanzey 71, who died at this home, 302 ½ East
Frisco, Tuesday night, were held at Roberts mortuary Thursday afternoon,
with Rev, Charles W McGiawn, pastor of the United Breathren church, officiating.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Mr. Tanzey was born at Paris, Mo, Sept. 1, 1869.
He is survived by two sons, Joe of Joplin, Mo,, who arrived here with
his family Wednesday of Port Arthur, Tex.; and two brothers, W. H Tanzey
of Conga Park, Calif., and Hugh Tanzey of Kansas City,
