MRS. STROUP DEAD

Many friends of M. R. Stroup are heartily sympathizing with him in his great affliction in the death of Mrs. Stroup. Those who knew the lady best are the sincerest mourners. Her health has not been good for some time, and she had the services of some of the best physicians and surgeons in Oklahoma and Kansas, but her disease, cancer of the liver, was incurable, and even an operation at Wichita, as a last resort, proved unavailing and she died in the hospital in that city last Friday.
The funeral was held from the Christian church in this city last Sunday and was attended by hundreds of neighbors and friends, all ready to attest to the virtues of the deceased. Mrs. Stroup was a woman who was admired and loved by all who knew her for her many noble qualities. She was kind and affectionate in the family and was always ready to lend a helping hand to the needy and afflicted, making her an ideal Christian woman and a good friend and neighbor. We join in the general expression of sympathy for Mr. Stroup
