Newkirk Rites Tuesday For C.G. Stahlhut, 81

NEWKIRK, April 16 – Services for C. G. Stahlhut, 81, retired Newkirk druggist and district court bailiff, who died Sunday at 11:15 a.m. here, will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Roy Hill funeral home chapel. Dr. Jaroslav Mrazek, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in charge.
Burial will be in the Newkirk cemetery. Born June 5, 1869 at Edwardsville, Ill., Mr. Stahlhut came to Newkirk in 1911 and was in the drug business for 23 years before taking the bailiffs position.
He retired from the latter about six months ago when he suffered a stroke. He was an active member of the Masonic lodge.
Survivors are three sons, Alvin of Ponca City, Gus of Des Moines, Ia., and Arthur of Council Bluffs, Ia., and three daughters, Dorothy and Verna of the home and Mrs. Roy Coleman of Newkirk.
