A. D. Speed Dead

A. D. Speed, one of the early settlers of Winfield, Kans., but for the past 21 years a resident of Wellington, Kans., died at his home in the latter city Sunday morning, September 9, and was buried Monday afternoon. Mr. Speed was proprietor of the Arlington hotel from 188 to 1902, but for the past nine years has been partially paralyzed, incapacitating him for active business. He was well known all over the southwest. His widow is a sister of Mrs. S. E. Mcdonald and Mrs. Mary C. Parcelle of this city, and M. W. McDonald .
The funeral was attented by Mrs. S .E. McDonald, Mrs. Parcelle, Mrs. M. W. McDonald and Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Barret from this city.
