Mrs. Nancy Smith's Rites Are Planned
Services are to be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Miles chapel. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery. Mrs. Smith, a resident of Ponca City & Newkirk since 1915, was born Sept 19, 1874, at Beulah, MO and received her education there. She lived in Ponca City from 1915 until after her marriage eight years ago to Ben Snith. At the time the couple moved to Newkirk. Smith preceded her in death in December 1948. In 1949, Mrs. Smith returned to Ponca City to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. D E Russell. Also surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. Ruby P Young, Pleasant View, Mrs. Maggie Russell, Wichita, Mrs. Grace David, Baton Rouge, LA; four sons, Oliver J Brown, Route 4, Charlie Kuhns, Springdale, Ark. Joe Kuhns, Eunice, N.M. Jack [John] Kuhns, Custer City; two sisters, Mrs. Middle Lock, Arkansas City, Mrs. Anie Bohannon, Frederick; a brother, Ethro Denison, Ponca City; 38 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren |
