C. R. Sipes, one among the first businessmen of Arkansas City, Kansas, was found dead in his bed in that city on last Sunday morning. Suspicions of foul play or suicide led to a coroner’s inquest, which resulted in a verdict that he died from an over-dose of chloral self-administered.
