SHUTTS- Died, July 4, 1908, the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Shutts at their home at the corner of B. street and Lincoln avenue. The baby was still-born. No funeral services were held. The body was buried on Sunday in the cemetery south of town.

SHUTTS-Died, Oct. 6, 1908, Mrs. Bessie Shutts, at the family home at 123 west Lawrence avenue. She was 33 years of age and leaves her husband, David, and one child. Funeral on Wednesday at 10 a. m., remarks by Rev. J. F. Reeves of the U. B. C. church. Burial in the Blackwell cemetery.
Mrs. Bessie Shutts was born in Little Rock, Ark., in January, 1875. She was married to John Bryant in 1900, and he died in 1902. One son was born to them. She was married again in 1906, to D. W. Shutts, and one child was born to them, which has preceded her to the better world. Mrs. Shutts came to her death October 6, 1908, at Blackwell, She leaves a companion and one little boy to mourn. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Texas.
