Wednesday evening while Miss Lena Sarver, the seventeen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Sarver, of Blackwell, was walking on the Santa Fe tracks south of that town with several boy and girl companions, she was shot in the region of the abdomen by the accidental discharge of a shot gun in the hands of one of the young men of the party. Four others – two girls and two boys – were also struck by stray bullets, but not seriously injured. The Enterprise is unable to obtain more complete details of the affair.
