OBITUARY

Mrs. Susanna Baker was born on June 16, 1845. Married to Mr. G. W. Sanderson Aug 16, 1867. Six children were born to them. Five now living, namely--Miss Carry Sanderson, Mrs. Minnie Allen, Mr. Aurthur Sanderson, Mrs. May Musick and Mr. Hayward Sanderson. Mrs. Sanderson died July 27, 1:30 A. M. She was converted and joined the M. E. Church in 1887, of which she lived a consistent Christian life, and was faithful until the Master called for her. She led among us an even steady life. Her work is done, the record of her life is now complete. The angels folded it away. She will be missed. Let us humbly strive to emulate her grace and in the end like her be Abel to say “All is well” and then death will be unto us as it was unto her: “Only a dream, only a dream. Glory beyond the dark stream. How peaceful the slumber. How happy the waking. For Death is only a dream.”
Sister Sanderson leaves a devoted husband., five children and a host of friends to mourn her loss, but our loss is her eternal gain. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W. T. Cummins, pastor of M. E. church at Peckham. O. T. Beautiful selections were rendered by the choir and a solo by Miss Ida Hedges for the occasion.
In Memory Of Mother
There was an angel band in heaven, that was not quite complete.
That was not quiet complete.
So God took their darling mother to fill the vacant seat.
The genteel voice now is hushed.
The warm true heart is still, and on thy sweet innocent brow is resting death’s cold chill.
Her hands are clasped upon her breast, they have kissed her solemn brow, and in our aching hearts we know they have no mother now.
Through all pains at times she smiled, a smile of heavenly birth. And when the angels called her home she smiled farewell to earth.
Heaven retaineth their treasures, Earth the lowly casket keeps and the sunbeams love to linger where their sainted mother sleeps.
She has gone from her dear ones.
