CALLED
HOME.
Henry
Rohrs Passes Away Friday Feb. 27, 1897.
Many
were the deplorable exclamations of surprise and regret indulged in by
the numerous friends of Henry Rohrs, when the sad news of his death, at
the home of his son Henry F. Rohrs, was brought to this city on last Friday
evening. The direct cause of death was a complicated attack of asthma.
Deceased was 77 years of age, and was highly respected by all who knew
him. He was a loving husband, a kind and indulgent parent and generous
to a fault, being always ready with purse and hand to help the poor and
needy. An aged widow, a son (Henry F.) a daughter (Mrs. Wm. Buchholz)
together with a host of sympathetic friends, mourn the end of a well-spent
life.
The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in this city,
by Rev. A. Myers, of Winfield, Kans., on Monday, March 1st, at 11 o’clock
a.m. at the close of which, the remains were tenderly laid to rest in
the Blackwell cemetery. [Block 121 Lot 8 Space 3]
