Died
from His Injuries
George Rice an lather, who met with the accident while working in the
Ogg-Foundry building last week, never regained consciousness and died
from the result of his injuries early Friday morning. The body was taken
to Arkansas City on the Frisco, Saturday morning and the funeral was from
the house of his mother in that city, Saturday after-noon at 1 o'clock.
Mr. Rice and family had but recently moved here from East St. Louis, Ill.,
and former acquaintances first knew of his being here when they heard
of the accident. He lived here years ago, and had a number of friends
who regret his untimely demise, and they extend to the family their sincere
sympathy. Rev. Thos. F. Barrier of the Presbyterian church, conducted
a short service at the home here Saturday morning. Deceased was not quite
43 years of age and leaves a wife and two children.
