CALLED HOME.

Mrs. D. M. Rhoades died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. A. Robbins, in this city, December 28, at the advanced age of 78 years and 3 months. Mrs. Rhoades had been in ordinary health until Tuesday, December 22. On that day she had been down town doing Christmas shopping with her granddaughter, Gladys Robbins, and while returning home just as they were turning into the yard, she was stricken with apoplexy and fell to the ground. She was carried into the house and Dr. Wood summoned, but she never regained consciousness. Her children, C.O. Delap, of Nardin; Mrs. Robbins, of this city; Mrs. J.H. Sheridan, of Homestead, Kans., and Will and Wesley Rhoades, of Charleston, Okla., were at her bedside at the last, only one child, Mrs. Juliett Stlers, of Morrow, Idaho, being unable to be present. The funeral was held from the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon, the service being conducted by Rev. Spillman, of that church.
Grandma Rhoades was well known and much loved; while away past the allotted age, she was mentally and physically active, and hers was indeed the good old age. The many friends of the family join us in extending sympathy to the family in this, their hour of affliction. [Delana M Block 192 Lot 8 Space 3]
