Bruce Reynolds died Monday Morning at 11:00 o’clock after an illiness of two weeks. The funeral services were conducted at the M E Church Tuesday afternoon by Rev Burchfield assisted by Rev Craighead. They were attended by a large concourse of people and the ceremonies were very impressive. The interment was made in the IOOF Cemetery.
While his fate is the common fate of all, his death was particularly sad. He was yet in the morning of manhood, being 26 years of age and had a life of promise and usefulness before him. He will be missed by all of our people as he was well known and always had a pleasant word for everyone and was ready to accomadate a friend whenever the opportunity presented itself. He was active in social and musical circle among the young people and contributed much to this pleasant pastime.

[There is also a memorial poem written by Celeste May “Loving Sympathy” inscribed to Mrs E M Reynolds, who could possibly be Bruce Reynolds Mother]
