GONE TO REST.

Mrs. G. E. Rees, who has been lying at the point of death for the past four weeks, passed quietly away Wednesday afternoon. Her remains were conveyed to the Lawn Grove cemetery southeast of Newkirk Thursday, where they were laid to rest to await the final call on judgment day. Obituary will be given next week. Obituary

Mrs. G. E. Rees. nee Rosa A Gorman, was born in Clare county Ireland, November 12, 1846. She came to America when but a babe. She was married to John I. Graves June 21,1871. To the union was born two children, one dying in its infancy; the other Amy J. who is still living, and is married to J. C. Willison, and they have one child, Flossie Ross A. was married to Geo. E. Rees February 22, 1875, who still survives her. She united with the M. E. Church in 1877, and during all these years none can say but what she was a Christian for she was Christ like, feeding the Hungary, caring for the sick and the affected, administrating to the poor and needy, always ready to good.
She departed this life Wednesday October 15,1902, at 4:15 p.m. She was a fateful wife and a loving companion. She leaves husband, and daughter, and granddaughter, besides a host of friends to morn her loss, but in her gain for she has gone to dwell with God.
The funeral was preached by D. J. Daughty, whose text was ”This do and thought shall live, Luke 10:28. She was laid to rest in the Oak Grove cemetery by the Crescent Rebecca Lodge at Langwood.
