In Memoriam
died on February 4, 1897, Mr Fallice Reece, S. K. County, Oklahoma. Mr. Reece was born in Whitesville, Andrew County Missouri, May 31, 1856. He was converted and joined the Whitesville Baptist Church at the age 14 years, left there about eight years ago, and settled at Clearwater, Kansas, and united with the Clearwater Baptist Church, and remained a consistent member up to the time of the opening strip, when he made the run and secured a claim on Deer Creek 5 miles east of Osborne. In the spring of 1894, he with others, organized a Baptist Church at Osborne, of which he was a member at the time of his death.
The writer has known bro. Reece for several years, and can say that he was faithful until death, God calling him up higher. Brother Reece leaves a wife and two children and other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his loss. The church will miss him, the neighbors will miss him, but oh, how much his dear wife and children will miss him. The funeral services were held at the school house 2 miles east of Osborne by the writer, his pastor on February 7, 1897, and his remains were interned in the Blackwell Cemetery. Elder D. W. Dorman
