Obituary
Ferril
Wallace Rankin, the eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Rankin, who
live eight miles east of Blackwell, died Wednesday morning, March 13,
1907.
Ferril had been sick only a short time and but a few of the friends and
neighbors realized the serious nature of the illness. He was a bright,
sunny little fellow and a general favorite with all his playmates. He
will be greatly missed to both school and Sunday school where he was a
regular attendant. The father and mother have the sympathy of the entire
community in their bereavement.
There is a reaper, whose name is Death, And, with his sickle keen,
He reaps the bearded grain at a breath, And the flowers that grow between.
O, not in cruelty, not in wrath, The reaper came that day,
Twas an angel visited the green earth, And took the flowers away.
Card
of Thanks
We wish to extend our thanks to the kind friends and neighbors for their
kindness and sympathy during the sickness and death of our beloved son,
Ferril.
