Lois Purnnie Noteware Ramsey

NEWKIRK — Lois Purnnie Noteware Ramsey, resident of Newkirk, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at the Newkirk Nursing Center. She was 92.

A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, at the Newkirk Cemetery with the Rev. John Ramsey officiating. Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home in Stillwater is in charge of arrangements.

Lois Purnnie Noteware Ramsey was born Aug. 31, 1913, in Avery, the daughter of John and Nancy Turner Noteware.

She married William J. Ramsey in September of 1931 in Newkirk. The family lived in the Newkirk area their entire lives. Lois was employed in the restaurant business as a waitress and cook for more than 45 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, church family, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include three children, J.B. Ramsey of Glencoe, Raymond Ramsey of Ponca City and Colene Butler of Panhandle, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 11 great, great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons; one daughter; four brothers; six sisters; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
