Richard O'Hanlan Died –At his home one mile south west of Blackwell at 2pm Wednesday June 30, 1897. Mr Richard O’Hanlan. The funeral took place from the residence July 1st at 11 am. Eld. J M Via conducting the services and internment was made in the cemetery south of town. Mr O’Hanlan had been a severe sufferer since January. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. He was born in Monroe County, Indiana March 12, 1840. He came to the strip at the opening, locating on the claim on which he died. Peace to his ashes JMV Wednesday morning at 2:30 o’clock Mr Richard O’Hanlen breathed his last. He had suffered with inflammatory rheumatism for the past year and had been confined to his bed for the past six months. He was 57 years old. He came to Kay county from Washington county, Neb., where he had resided for 23 years. He made the race for a claim, but failing to get one, he purchased his present home, on half mile southwest of this city. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence this morning at 10 o’clock. CARD
