Death
of Mrs. McMillen
Mrs. Louisa J. McMillen died at the farm home eight miles southeast of
this city last Thursday after a protracted illness. Mrs. McMillen was
one of those good women, whose death leaves a void in the community. As
wife, mother, neighbor and friend, she gave the best that was in her,
and was loved by all who knew her, For years a widow, she maintained a
home for her children that was a home in deed as well as name. Of the
children, Arthur and Fred were with her on the farm, H. G. was a resident
of Eastern Kansas, and the daughter Mrs. Della Bissell, lives in Cowley
county, and all were with her at the time of her death. The body was taken
to Arkansas City for burial. The many friends and neighbors join with
the afflicted family in their great sorrow and mourn with them the death
of this much beloved woman
