A. W. McMillen died last Friday morning on his claim 7 miles east of Blackwell, and was buried in Arkansas city the following day. Mr. McMillan, formerly lived in Blackwell in the early days of the town. While living here a daughter of his was brought here to die. It was the first death in the town. She was dying from consumption, and it being her last wish to be taken to her parents to die. She was brought here and died within a day or two after her arrival. Consumption was also the cause of Mr. McMillan's death
