A SORROWFUL ACCIDENT

Mr. And Mrs. McCune’s little baby boy was choked to death by a key, which lodged in its throat. The little one was playing on the floor. Finding a key, baby like, he put it in his mouth. The substance was too large to swallow and it choked him to death. Mr. And Mrs. McCune ran with the baby in his arms to Mr. Sherer’s, their neighbor, for assistance. The doctor was summoned but before he reached the home the baby was dead.
‘Tis hard to tell when death’s dark angel will accost our footstool.
The funeral was preached at the Christian church by Rev. C. E. Williams, Wednesday afternoon and the remains now rest in the Rose Hill cemetery. Their many friends deeply sympathize with them in their sad bereavement. – South Haven New Era
