OBITUARY
Jiles Morrow, son of Robert and Sarah Morrow was born in Orange county
North Carolina, April 7, 1832. He died of heart failure at his home near
Guelph, Kans., Aug. 27, 1903, aged 71 years 4 months and 20 days. Mr.
Morrow was the last one living of a family of twelve. He moved to Clay
county Mo. In 1849 and again removed to Sumner county, Kans., in 1891.
Four years ago he moved to Blackwell, but later returned again to his
farm in Southern Kansas.
On Oct. 2, 1864, he was married to Miss Carolina Carey of Clay Co. Mo.,
and the following named children have been born to them, Edward J. T.,
Charles, Lula, Allen, Nora, and Ernest, all of whom with Mrs. Morrow are
still living. Mr. Morrow became a member of the Presbyterian Church in
early life and remained true to his faith through much suffering until
released by death. Rev. Jas conducted the funeral services. R. E. Craig
head of Blackwell at the family homestead and interment took place in
the Mt. Zion cemetery near Arkansas City on the 28th ult.
