DIED
Died at his home on east 5th street last night at 7:20, Mr. Job Moon.
Comrade Moon was born in Era county, Pennsylvania, April 6, 1846. He enlisted
in the 10th III., Vol. Inft., and served with it until the close of the
Civil War in 1865. He has been in poor health for a year or two, but was
up and around until the day of his death. On Thursday he was uptown laughing
and talking, although looking bad, Friday morning he could not get up,
in the afternoon he was almost speechless and in the evening he died.
Thus one by one these old land marks pass away and soon their comradeship
on earth will cease altogether, and the grand army above will contain
them all.
The deceased leaves a wife and several children to mourn his taking away
and to whom is extended the sympathy of the whole community.
The funeral will be at the Christian church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock.
