Mehojah
Rites Slated Sunday
ENID, OK - Raymond Mehojah, a full-blooded Kaw Indian,
died Thursday in an Enid Hospital. He was 76.
Mehojah was born in Washungah to Jesse and Maggie Mehojah. He was a veteran
of World War II, and a retired
pipeline worker who was involved in many projects throughout the U.S.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in
Enid.
He is survived by three brothers, Charles Mehojah, Jesse Mehojah Jr.,
both of Enid, and William Mehojah of
Phoenix, Ariz. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Mehojah was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of the Chimes at
Grace Memorial Chapel. Elder Howard
Foy, First Counselor in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints, Ponca City Ward, will officiate.
Interment will be in the Washunga Cemetery under the direction
of Grace Memorial Chapel. The casket will not be opened at
the service, but friends may call the chapel until 1 p.m.
