G. W. MASON DEAD

Mr. G. W. Mason one of our well-known and respected farmers who lived southeast of this city, died suddenly at his home early Christmas morning. He had been about his usual work on Thursday, but during the night complained of not feeling well and got out of bed, and expired almost immediately. He was a member of the Mason, Odd Fellows, Yeoman, and Workman societies, and of the Methodist church. A kind husband and father and a good citizen and neighbor. The funeral was from the church five miles south of the city and was conducted by Rev. J. G. Hoefflin. A large number of neighbors and friends were present to attest their appreciation of their friend, and their regret at his death.
