A SUDDEN DEATH

Tuesday evening Mrs. Mary L. Lowe retired in the best of spirits and with bright hopes of a speedy recovery from a slight ailment brought on by biliousness, but the waking at morning was in the home prepared for the faithful. Mrs. Lowe came to this place from Missouri three weeks ago; deep gloom has settled over the husband and two sons who among strangers and in a strange place mourn her loss who has for 25 years been the sunshine of the home.
Mary L. Chenk was born in Swichland, Indiana in 1847; in 1868 she united with the M. E. church and so in matrimony with Mr. Lowe during all these years she has been a faithful wife, a devoted member of the above named church, and a loving mother.
The people of Blackwell have been kind and many were the words of comfort given to those that mourn, but not as those who have no hope.
Services were conducted at the home by the pastor of the M. E. church.
