Looper

The funeral of G. C. Looper, 85 years and 4 days old, who died on Monday, Jan 7, 1918, at 5 p.m., was held at the United Brethren church at two o’clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Strickland, the pastor, followed by interment at the Odd Fellows cemetery. The widow and three sons as follows, Thomas B. Porter T., and James G. Looper all residing in Blackwell and vicinity, and three daughters, Mrs. F. Lawless of Belle Plaine, Kan., Mrs. J. Means of Crisfield, Kan.; Mrs. Van Tassell of Ontraia, Ore., survive the husband and father. All the children were present at the funeral except Mrs. Van Tassell.
