Margaret A. Kromka

Margaret A. Kromka, resident of Wellington, Kan, and a former Ponca City resident, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 1995, in the Sumner Regional Medical Center. She was 79.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City with the Rev. Charles Heyer, associate minister of First Christian Church officiating. Grace Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Margaret A. Kromka was born Sept 14, 1916, in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Leo and Neletah (Myers) Willison. She attended school in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1934. She moved to the Wichita, Kan. area in the early 1940’s where she worked for the DeVorss Bible Co. as a bookkeeper for 18 1/2 years. Retiring in 1964. She was also co-owner of the Buckboard Antiques of Augusta, Kan. from 1971 to 1979.
She and John Kromka were married Jan. 4 1964 in Newkirk and made their home in Wichita. They later moved to Augusta for several years and then to Wellington, and later to Dalton, Kan.
She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Wichita, and Extension Home Unit Club. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, handicrafts, canning, gardening and spending time with family.
Surviving are her husband, John, of the home; one daughter, Neletah Janet Stoddard of Andover, Kan.; a step-son, Harold Lloyd Kromka of Mena, Ark.; three brothers, James, Leon and Robert Willison, all of Ponca City, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will be at the Kromka home in Wellington to receive friends and relatives.
