WILLIAM KORT DEAD Wm Kort
died at his home two miles south and one mile east of Blackwell Tuesday
morning. Last Sunday evening he was assisting his twin brother in lifting
a corn Sheller in a shed on his farm, when he suddenly complained of a
sever pain in his head and said that he had hurt himself lifting. He immediately
went to the house and laid down; when called to supper in the evening
he said he did not care for anything to eat, and shortly afterward undressed
and went to bed, he did not complain during the night, but when called
to get up the next morning he started to get up and fell back unconscious,
and never regained consciousness. Dr. Lowery was called Monday morning
who upon examination found he had ruptured a blood vessel in his brain.
Mr. Kort came to Oklahoma and secured his present home at the opening
of this country to settlement. |
