DEATH
OF HOMER KERN.
Little
Homer, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Kern departed this life Dec. 6, 1903,
age one month. The sweet little angel suffered a week of untold agony,
after which he yielded to the angel of death.
His sweet little body was clothed in a beautiful white gown and laid softly
into a beautiful casket covered with lovely flowers woven into wreaths
worked by skilled hands whose hearts were in deep sympathy with the afflicted
family and kindred.
The funeral services were conducted at the home of the parents by the
pastor of the U.B. church of Blackwell. Some appropriate songs were rendered
which added much to the service. A long procession leaving the home of
the little babe proceeded to the Blackwell cemetery where the body was
laid to rest to await the general resurrection. And now may the God of
all grace comfort the sorrowing ones and lead them to a final reunion
in the kingdom of God. [Block 110 Lot 8 Space 1]
