MAMIE HOY DEAD

Mamie Hoy, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. G. D. Hoy, died at the family residence in this city late Monday afternoon, of quick consumption. Mamies illness was of less than a year’s duration, and a trip to Colorado was made this summer in hopes to benefiting her health, but was fruitless, and the sufferer, the family and friends have for months known that there was no hope. She has been a most patient sufferer, and has had the tender love and care of the family and many friends, and the constant and careful ministrations of physicians to alleviate her suffering and make easier, the crossing of the dark river, and she appreciated and was thankful to all. Mamie was but 16 years old, just in the first flush and promise of womanhood, and, was a favorite with schoolmates, the friends and the family. The funeral was held in the Christian church, Rev. Hilton of that church officiating, and was attended by a large crowd of sorrowing friends. The floral offerings were many and beautiful, symbolic of the young life that was so pure and sweet. The interment was in the Odd Fellow cemetery. The community sympathizes
With the family in their bereavement and shares with them the loss their loved one. [Block 71 Lot 8 Space 7]
