L. R. HIATT FOUND DEAD

L. R. Hiatt, a well driller and a widower with four children under 13 years, was found dead Tuesday at 3 p.m. on the prairie three miles east of Kildare with his throat cut on each side. An inquest showed he had been dead 48 hours. He was buried Wednesday. It is a very mysterious case. There are some indications of possible suicide, but he was a man of steady habits, and no cause for sucide is known. His children say he had a pocket book of some money, but neither was found on his person. Foul play is likely the cause of his death.
