Death

The two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hembree fell into a tub of hot water Tuesday and was so seriously scalded that death resulted Wednesday. The funeral was held from the home Thursday and the little one was laid away in Odd Fellows cemetery south of this city. It was a most deplorable accident and the many friends of the family heartily sympathize with them in their affection.

Boy Scalded to Death

Tuesday morning while his mother was in another room for a few moments, Ernest, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hembree living four miles northwest of here climbed up to a tub of boiling hot water, that his mother had just prepared for washing, lost his balance and fell into the tub.
He was badly burned about the head and the shoulders and in spite of all that could be done for him death came Wednesday at nine o'clock.
The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Overstreet at one o'clock p.m. today after which the body was taken to the Blackwell cemetery and laid to rest.
