Mrs. Hazen Dead Mrs. Hazen dies at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. R. Williams, on East Bridge street, Monday after-noon, Nov. 26, of paralysis, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Williams, the daughter, and Louis Hazen, a son of Duncan, I. T., were with her at the end; another daughter and two other sons survive. The body was taken to Elk county, Kans, for burial beside her husband who preceded her some nine years ago. Mrs. Hazen, was nearly 81 years of age and was fully prepared to go, and in spite of her affliction was cheerful and hopeful. The sympathy of the many friends is with Mrs. Williams in her bereavement. HAZEN- Died, at 3:15 p.m. on a lovely Monday afternoon on Nov. 26, 1906, at the home her eldest daughter, Mrs. J. R. Williams, in this city of Blackwell, Mrs. Angeline Hazen, aged 80 years, 11 months and 16 days. The cause of death was creeping paralysis, super induced by old age. no funeral services were held here, but the body was taken to Clear Creek, Elk county, Kansas, for interment by the side of her late husband, Mrs. Williams and her brother, Louis Hazen of Duncan, I.T., accompanying the remains. The other survivors of Mrs. Hazen’s family of nine children are Mrs. Mary Wells of Conneaut, Ohio, Frank Hazen of Erie county, Pennsylvania, and Sheldon Hazen of Fall River, Kansas. Angeline Curts was born in Erie County, Pennsylvania, Dec. 10, 1825. Her parents died when she was seven years old, and three years later she went to Port Gibson, N.Y., where she married in 1847 to Amzi Hazen. They moved back to Pennsylvania in 1860, remaining there until they came to Kansas in 1878, where Mr. Hazen died about nine years ago, near Howard, Elk County. Mrs. Hazen came to Oklahoma about five years ago, and has been making her home alternately with her daughter, Mrs. Williams, of this city; and her son, Louis Hazen of Duncan, I.T. She had a wide circle of friends here who regret her passing away. CARD
