H. Hatfield left last Saturday for Lecompton, Kansas, in response to a telegram stating that his mother was not expected to live. Mrs. Hatfield received word from him Tuesday of his mother’s death, which occurred last Monday at the advanced age 67 years. Mr. Hatfield and brother, Millard, who went to Lecompton last Wednesday, are expected home today.
