Norma Graham

Norma Graham, former resident of Newkirk, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, in Duncan. She was 78.

The funeral will be held graveside at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at the Newkirk Cemetery under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.

Norma Graham was born Nov. 22, 1927, the daughter of Altha Violet and Johnnie Lee Pappan. She graduated from Arkansas City, Kan., in 1945. Later she graduated from Beauty College in Borger, Texas. She also attended one year at Frank Phillips Junior College, where she studied art and general studies.

She married Delmar Lee Graham in Winfield, Kan., May 2, 1946. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served a mission in Dallas, Texas, in 1985 at the Dallas, Texas Temple. She was a member of the Kaw Tribe.

She is survived by her children, Mark Graham of Nokesville, Va., Buddy Graham of Duncan, Connie Snelding of Pahrome, Nev., and Judi VanDuzor of Ponca City; and one brother, Johnny Ray Pappan.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Graham; a sister, Louise; and a brother, Clayton.
