Wyatt Gordon, the son of Mrs. S.C. Gordon, died in Los Angeles, Cal.,
March 16, 1903. He was born March 12, 1879. He was 24 years and 4 days

“God in his wisdom has recalled
The boon His love has given,
And though the body molders here,
The soul is safe in heaven.”
“A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.”
“Tis hard to break the tender cord
When love has bound the heart,
Tis hard, so hard to speak the word,
We must forever Part.”
“Dearest loved one we must lay thee
In the peaceful grave’s embrace,
But thy memory will be cherished
“Till we see thy heavenly face.”
“Peaceful by thy silent slumber,
Peaceful in the grave so low,
Thou no more will join our number,
Thou no more our song will know.”
“Yet again we hope to meet thee
When the day of life is fled;
Then in heaven with joy to greet thee,
Where no farewell tears are shed.
HIS MOTHER.
