Don Gadaberry

W.L. Olmstead was up from his farm on the SaltFork Monday morning and reported the drowning of Don Gadaberry, a 15-year-old boy, near the mouth of the Chicaskia River, Sunday afternoon. He had gone to the river with a large crowd of people who were engaged in fishing, and with three companions about his own age had gone up the river from the rest of the people and went in swimming. He got beyond his depth and was drowned before any of the men could get his assistance. His parents live about four miles east of Tonkawa. The session of the Presbyterian church of this place drove over to Tonkawa on Sabbath afternoon and their Rev. Jas. Craighead gave a sermon.
